Party flowers for 4 Hamilton Place

Petal to the Metal were asked to provide the flowers for an event taking place at 4 Hamilton Place earlier this month.4hp

The venue is a stunning classic Georgian building, a grand entrance, sweeping staircase, a collection of impressive rooms and, with this particular venue, an impressive terrace overlooking Hyde Park.

The party was for a private clients birthday celebrations, the brief was to keep the designs simple, Hydrangea was the preferred flower and the look should be both sympathetic to the architecture  but also young, fun and above all the flowers should say PARTY!

I decided on cerise pink and purple with lime green as my colour scheme, for this particular brief it was a really strong combination. I used simple massed domes of Hydrangea in these bold colours which helped keep the event looking and feeling like a party, using props such as the large silver punch bowls or urns helped to bring in the more classical elements of the building.

I had some fun decorating the mantelpiece, again taking something that is normally quite traditional I broke it down and created a deconstructed mantelpiece using a collection of different sized clear glass bottles. I loved making this, so easy to assemble and a design that doesn’t require masses of flowers to make something striking.

The Terrace provided a step change in terms of the colour scheme and flowers to the rest of the party. The client loved Spring flowers and had asked if it would be possible to incorporate these into the party. Remarkably I was able to source a collection of multi coloured Anemone along with a gorgeous orange Tulip.

A great party to be involved with and I was very happy with the results.

Thanks
