Wedding at Claridges
OK so for the first time in my business I had the opportunity of speaking these imortal words last month
“Im doing the flowers for a wedding at Claridges”!!!
When I first started working as a florist I worked for a business that did a lot of flowers in the hotel, and over the years I got to experience a luxury hotel at its very best. Style, sophistication, atmosphere, service, this place has it all and so it was a real moment when I was booked for a very small but equally very chic wedding there.
The ceremony took place in the French Salon and an intimate dinner in the Drawing Room followed.
The Brief was to create something very pretty and simple which would help towards creating a warm atmosphere. There was one very large round table seating 18 guests, therefore the flowers needed to be able to fill a rather large space. Preferred colours were pinks, whites and peaches.
The table was made up of one very large, low decoration with a massed dome of white Hydrangea, David Austin Juliet Roses, Sweet Avalanche roses, Peach Avalanche Roses, touches of sweetly scented Paperwhite Narcissi and soft fronds of grey Astrantia. This was surrounded by little crystal globes filled with Roses domes, bud vases and mirror nightlights.
A beautiful set up for a really special venue.
Lots of love
