Dinner at Sothebys

Last month we were invited to provide the flowers for a special event at Sothebys celebrating an upcoming auction of “Finest and rarest wines”.

Our brief was simple, to create decorations which were glamorous, stylish and natural. As this was a special wine tasting event the most important factor was to ensure that none of the flowers were scented.

We sourced a selection of Hydrangea, Roses, Italian Cloni Ranunculus, fluffy Astrantia and fresh green Guelder Rose (Viburnum)

We used a collection of crystal bowls which looked perfect for this event, which we filled with beautiful massed domes of white flowers. The decorations were very bold in shape but softened by having an interesting mix of flowers giving us lots of lovely texture.

The catering was provided by Rocket Food. The table settings themselves were really impressive, 6 wine glasses per person so 60 glasses per table, all placed and positioned neatly and to absolute perfection!

A beautiful room and a gorgeous event to be involved in, surrounded by a collection of Italian oil paintings our flowers were amongst some pretty impressive company. Bellissimo!
