Christmas Wedding

Earlier in the month we provided the flowers for a very intimate wedding which took place at the Museum of St John in Clerkenwell, an historic building which is rich in medieval architecture and furnishing.2015-11-19 14.24.09

Our couple were keen to create a Christmas inspired medieval banquet, rich, warm and very natural in style. With a brief like this it is a really easy space to decorate with a simple square, wood panelled room with a large U shaped table, surrounded by oil paintings, stained glass windows and the obligatory creaky wooden floorboards!close up

We decorated the tables with one continuous long and low arrangement which consisted of Cypressus ferns, Maiden Hair fern, Ivy trails, red Hypericum, Amnesia Roses and Poinsettia plants with touches of gold using gold Magnolia leaves. There were a pair of gold candelabra which we placed either side of the table, the whole design worked so well and looked so impressive within the surroundings. Im sure our Bride & Groom and their guests had a very special, atmospheric evening.2015-11-19 11.08.06

The bridal Bouquet was a very pretty combination of Amnesia Roses with Poinsettia and touches of winter grey Senecio Maritima foliage. Gorgeous!

A simple Christmas wedding

Lots of love
